Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon

Meet Dr. Anthony Mustovich, DO, FAAOS

Dr. Anthony Mustovich treats knees, hips, and shoulders for one reason: to get people back to the lives they had before an injury or a worn-out joint got in the way. He's a board-certified orthopedic surgeon practicing in Butler, Pennsylvania, with a patient list that ranges from teenage athletes recovering from a torn ACL to older adults ready to walk without pain again.

His path to orthopedics ran through the U.S. Army Medical Corps. Dr. Mustovich completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, then spent more than a decade in uniform, eventually leading orthopedic surgery at Bassett Army Community Hospital and serving as a flight surgeon. That combination, treating both routine and high-pressure injuries under real time constraints, shaped the direct, no-nonsense approach he still brings to every consultation.

By the time he transitioned to civilian practice, Dr. Mustovich had already performed more than 1,000 knee replacements. He's one of a handful of surgeons in western Pennsylvania certified in the Jiffy Knee™ technique, a muscle- and tendon-sparing approach to same-day total knee replacement, and he brings that same tissue-preserving philosophy to hip and shoulder surgery as well. Outside the operating room, he treats the sprains, strains, and overuse injuries that come with staying active, favoring the least invasive treatment that will actually get the job done.
